Meet North Sea Compactors Ltd

We manufacture our own design of heavy-duty, large capacity, fully pneumatic offshore waste compactor.  Our core competencies are in equipment design and certification, pneumatic engineering, maintenance and supply logistics.

Our compactor and baler designs have been tried and tested over many years in the unforgiving environment of the North Sea.  This experience has been used to improve the machines.  This has included, for example, using more robust components, installing improved air cleaning and lubrication, further improving the compactors' in-built safety features and making various other incremental improvements.

We are fabricating new compactors certified to DNV Standard for Certification 2.7-1 Offshore Containers (June 2013) / DNV-ST-E271 Offshore Containers (January 2021), EN 12079:2006 Offshore containers and associated lifting sets (April 2006) and ISO 10855 Offshore containers and associated lifting sets (May 2018).  All our machines comply with the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC (and are "CE" marked) and other relevant harmonised standards governing mechanical operations and control and safety systems. 

Our compactors comply with the UK's "Supply of Machinery (Safety) regulations 2008" (Statutory Instrument No. 1597) and "Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998" (Statutory Instrument No. 2306).  Compactors manufactured since 1 January 2021 are UK Conformity Assessed and "UKCA" marked.
